Niira Radia’s Nayati Healthcare expands its wings in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities

After commissioning three hospitals in Delhi-NCR, Mathura-based Nayati Healthcare is focused on providing healthcare access in the rural areas of Central and North India, as told by the group Chairperson & Founder Nayati Healthcare, Niira Radia, in an interview to Business World.

The multi-specialty healthcare chain has been making tertiary and quarternary level healthcare accessible to people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Nayati has also received the ‘BW Hospital Award’ for Excellence in Multi-specialty Tertiary Care in non-metros.

Beginning as a fleet of mobile medical units in Badrinath Dham and establishing its first healthcare centre in Mathura in 2012, Nayati expanded to a 110 bed-facility in Agra, Uttar Pradesh before commissioning three hospitals in Delhi-NCR.

Upon being asked about Nayati’s growing presence in the capital city, Nayati Chairperson Niira Radia said during the interview that her operational advent in Delhi focuses on strengthening the medical team, bringing in new technologies, and build an economic foundation.

She added that Nayati plans to expand its operations in Tier 2 and 3 cities in North and Central India like Amritsar, Nagpur, etc. Nayati Healthcare acquired a significant stake in Vimhans PrimaMed in April 2018 and announced the commissioning of another hospital in Gurugram. Later in December 2018, the group signed an agreement with Sunder Lal Jain Trust to manage and operate Sunder Lal Jain Hospital in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi.

Speaking to Business World, the Chairperson of Nayati Healthcare stated that she stepped into healthcare without prior experience in the industry back in 2012, but realized the lack of super-speciality healthcare.

Nayati Healthcare started as a Mobile Medical Unit service with 36 paramedic staff and doctors, and later upgraded its first Hospital in Mathura with 22 specialities and ‘state of the art’ technologies. The hospital has been able to channelize cutting edge technologies to its other hospitals in Agra and Varanasi through its ever-growing team.
